Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri has launched the Viking Libra, the world's first hydrogen-powered cruise ship, at its Ancona shipyard. Built for cruise operator Viking, the vessel is expected to be delivered in late 2026. The ship will feature hydrogen fuel technology aimed at reducing emissions and supporting cleaner cruise operations, marking a significant step towards zero-emission cruising and the adoption of alternative marine fuels in the industry.
