On March 17, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding delivered and named the CMA CGM GRAND PALAIS, the world’s largest 24,000 TEU LNG dual-fuel container vessel, seven and a half months ahead of schedule. This marks the 20th large container ship built by Hudong-Zhonghua for the CMA CGM Group, further strengthening China-France cooperation in green shipping and advanced manufacturing. The vessel, with a length of 399 meters and a capacity equivalent to 480 China-Europe Railway Express trains, features an 18,000 m³ LNG fuel tank enabling a cruising range of nearly 20,000 nautical miles. Its innovative design reduces CO₂ emissions by 20%, NOₓ by 85%, and particulate and sulfur oxide emissions by 99%, meeting the highest international environmental standards.
