On March 12, Nanjing Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd. signed a construction contract with China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. for two 63,500 DWT bulk carriers. This follows a previous order of four vessels, three of which have already been delivered. The new ships will adhere to IMO Phase III standards and the latest international regulations, emphasizing safety, efficiency, low consumption, and environmental friendliness. This deal will help Nanjing Ocean Shipping expand its fleet and boost its competitiveness during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
