**MSC HORTENSE remains detained at Gioia Tauro** The container vessel MSC Hortense (IMO 9978951) was detained at the port of Gioia Tauro on 13 Mar 2026 by the Paris MoU following an initial inspection. The initial inspection included verification of an ABS-issued class certificate dated 11 Nov 2025 expiring 24 Sep 2030 and covered checks of the accommodation and galley, cargo area, engine room, navigation bridge, decks and forecastle. No deficiencies were recorded, and no detainable items were found during the review. The LR-flagged ship has a gross tonnage of 101,311 and is managed by MSC ship management limited. Its keel was laid on 19 May 2025. The vessel remains under detention.
