Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN), a leading Greek shipping company, has announced a major fleet expansion with the order of a new LNG carrier from South Korea’s HD Hyundai Heavy Industries. The vessel, valued at approximately USD 254 million and capable of transporting 174,000 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas, is scheduled for delivery in late 2029. This move underlines TEN's continued confidence in the future of LNG transport and its commitment to modern, efficient vessels. The new carrier will join TEN’s existing LNG fleet, which includes ships like Maria Energy and Tenergy, and aims to position the company for evolving market opportunities as global demand for cleaner energy grows.
