Malaysian shipowner MISC Group has expanded its LNG newbuilding program in China by ordering two additional 174,000-cbm LNG carriers. The latest contract was signed with Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd., bringing MISC's total orders at the yard to five vessels. The new ships are scheduled for delivery in 2029 and 2030 and are booked against long-term, 20-year contracts with PETRONAS.
