Kongsberg Maritime has announced it will supply a fully integrated equipment package for a state-of-the-art ultra-large cable laying vessel (CLV) being constructed for LS Marine Solution at the Tersan Shipyard. The new vessel will be 148.4 meters long and 31 meters wide, with a 13,000-tonne cable capacity and a total displacement of 18,800 tonnes. The delivery and entry into service are expected in 2028. The package includes dynamic positioning, integrated control and navigation systems, a battery-hybrid DC electrical system, and main propulsion and thrusters. The hybrid system and shore connection will allow for reduced engine use and zero-emission operations in port and during cable loading, supporting lower emissions and improved operational efficiency.
