On February 11, the BALDER, an 83,300 DWT combination caustic soda/bulk carrier, was delivered by New Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and entered service for Norwegian shipowner Klaveness Combination Carriers. As the first vessel in its series, BALDER is designed for the Australia trade route, meets Tier III emission standards, and includes advanced features for environmental compliance and fuel flexibility. The vessel is classed by DNV and showcases the latest in sustainable maritime technology.
