CSSC Wuchang Shipbuilding has announced the signing and activation of contracts for nine new feeder containerships as the new year begins. The order comprises five 1,100 TEU and four 1,800 TEU vessels, aimed at enhancing regional liner services and mainline feeder operations. Although the shipyard did not disclose the client, industry sources indicate COSCO SHIPPING Lines may be the recipient. If verified, this move signals ongoing investments in fleet renewal and network resilience, critical for maintaining reliable supply chains.
