**Bohwa Shipping Signs Shipbuilding Intent with Shandong Marine Engineering** Bohwa Shipping signed a shipbuilding intent with Shandong Marine Engineering Company at the Rizhao Lanshan yard in China on 3 Dec 2025.
Under the agreement, Bohwa has committed to three firm plus two optional 17,500 dwt double-deck multipurpose vessels at Shandong Port Land Sea Equipment Group’s shipyard, with final contracts and delivery schedules to be agreed.
The vessels will feature energy-efficient hull designs, double-deck holds with forward wheelhouse layouts for enhanced stowage and handling, and two 80-ton side cranes to accommodate heavy, hazardous and high-value cargo.
Shandong Marine Engineering will oversee construction, classification compliance and quality control under national and international standards.
Formal contracts are expected to follow, with delivery milestones to be determined.
