Evergreen Line has announced a major investment, placing orders for 14 LNG dual-fuel containerships valued at approximately $2.8 billion. The new vessels, each with a capacity of 14,000 TEU, will be built by Guangzhou Shipyard International in China and Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea, with each shipyard constructing seven ships. This move follows a previous order in March, when Evergreen Marine commissioned 11 larger 24,000 TEU containerships from other leading shipyards in China and South Korea.
