The naming ceremony for the STENA CONNECTA took place today at the Jinling Weihai Shipyard in China. The 147-metre vessel will be equipped with two Norsepower Rotor Sails™, aiming to achieve up to 9% fuel savings. Scheduled for delivery from Stena RoRo to Stena Line in the fourth quarter of 2025, the ship will operate between Belfast and Heysham on the Irish Sea, where wind conditions are ideal for wind-assisted propulsion. The ship's recently introduced sistership, STENA FUTURA, is also prepared for Rotor Sail technology.
