In a significant step towards greener shipping, Anemoi Marine Technologies has announced the successful installation of their rotor sails on the Grand Pioneer, a Very Large Ore Carrier (VLOC) owned by U-Ming Marine Transport. The installation was carried out at the COSCO Zhoushan Shipyard in China, marking a milestone in the adoption of wind-assisted propulsion for bulk carriers. The rotor sails are expected to enhance fuel efficiency and reduce emissions, aligning with the industry’s ongoing sustainability efforts.
