The agreement secures Royal Caribbean 's building rights at the yard through the next decade and includes an order for the cruise ship Icon 5, slated for delivery in 2028, subject to financing. In addition, there is an option to build Icon 7 alongside a previously announced Icon 6. This strategic move reinforces Royal Caribbean 's collaboration with Meyer Turku , a leading shipyard known for its cruise ship specialization. The yard has already delivered two Icon Class ships: the Icon of the Seas (January 2024) and Star of the Seas (August 2025), with more in development. This partnership is expected to bolster Finland's maritime industry, contributing significantly to the local economy and employment. Icon 6 will follow in 2027, with further options contingent on financing and agreements.
