DaeSun Shipbuilding Signs Deal for LPG Carrier Construction On 05 September 2025, DaeSun Shipbuilding and Engineering Co., Ltd. concluded an agreement with a leading ship operator for the construction of two liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers at their facility in Busan, South Korea.
The deal includes the building of two 84,000 cbm LPG carriers designed by DaeSun Shipbuilding. The vessels will comply with the latest environmental standards, featuring dual-fuel propulsion systems. This ensures reduced emissions and improved efficiency, reflecting the maritime industry's commitment to sustainable practices.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Observers note that these vessels add to the growing portfolio of environmentally friendly ships in the market.
Both LPG carriers are expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2027.
