Sinokor Orders Four Boxships from HD Hyundai

& Offshore Engineering , the parent company to both HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries , has announced that the vessels will be delivered by mid-2028, with two arriving by the end of March and the remaining pair by the end of June. This strategic expansion is noteworthy for Sinokor , a company that previously operated ships with capacities ranging between 1,900 and 8,000 TEU. Currently ranked 19th in global liner operations, Sinokor manages a considerable fleet consisting of 75 container vessels, of which 72 are owned and three are chartered, collectively yielding a capacity of about 141,000 TEU. The firm's broader fleet also spans the tanker, bulker, and LNG segments, boasting more than 120 ships. This acquisition underscores Sinokor's commitment to bolstering its competitive edge and operational scale in the maritime shipping industry.
