China Adds Three Taiwan Shipbuilders to Export Control List

Jong Shyn Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, and Lungteh Shipbuilding Co., Ltd—are recognized for their roles in Taiwan’s naval and defense shipbuilding programs. Effective immediately, exports of dual-use items to these entities are prohibited unless prior approval is granted by MOFCOM. Chinese authorities stated the move is intended to safeguard national security and respond to the shipbuilders’ alleged involvement in supporting separatist activities through military cooperation.
