COSCO Shipping Dalian has recently placed an order for two Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGCs). The order, reported to be placed on May 15, 2025, specifies that the vessels will be built at COSCO (QIDONG) OFFSHORE CO., LTD, a shipyard located in China, known for its expertise in constructing large-scale maritime vessels. The duo of gas carriers will be constructed with a deadweight tonnage (DWT) of 55,000 and a cubic capacity (CUM) of 88,000.
