Allseas is expanding its fleet with the acquisition of two next-generation offshore construction vessels (OCVs), bolstering its capabilities in a rapidly evolving market. This strategic investment is set to enhance the company's versatility and support its growth in offshore construction and subsea installation sectors. The vessels, based on the SALT 308 OCV design, will be built by Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group in China. They boast advanced equipment and systems aimed at delivering superior performance and flexibility. This addition will enable Allseas to optimize its deployment strategies and free up existing vessels for larger and more complex projects. Delivery of the first vessel is scheduled for September 2026, with the second expected in December 2026. These vessels, measuring 100 metres in length and featuring a 1,100 m² cargo deck, are designed for maximum operational versatility. They include a dynamic positioning system, an offshore crane, work-class ROVs, and a hybrid battery energy storage system. Dries van Strijp, Vice President Operations at Allseas, emphasized that this decision follows a thorough evaluation to meet market demands. The newbuilds are equipped with the latest technology to strengthen Allseas' capabilities and provide sustainable solutions to the offshore energy industry.
