Jaldhi Overseas has announced a significant expansion in its maritime capabilities with the addition of six new stainless steel chemical tankers scheduled for delivery in 2027 and 2028. The Singapore-based company has placed these newbuild orders in Japan and China. Suresh Kumar, CEO of Jaldhi Overseas , explained that this move is part of a broader fleet expansion and replacement strategy. The new vessels will replace the company’s existing three stainless steel chemical tankers, marking a step forward in modernizing its fleet. The decision to invest in newbuildings underscores Jaldhi Overseas ' optimism about the chemical parcel trade, especially for ships sized between 33,000 dwt and 38,000 dwt. As part of a strategic realignment, the company aims to strengthen its position in the chemical tanker market, capitalizing on anticipated growth opportunities.
