Nantong Rainbow Offshore & Engineering Equipment Co., Ltd has made significant strides into the European market with the successful signing of new orders for two 13,000 DWT stainless steel chemical tankers. This recent contract signing held in Shanghai marks a continuation of their robust partnership with companies under the DAL/Essberger Group, enhancing collaboration in producing high-quality stainless-steel chemical tankers. The tankers, designed by Swedish firm FKAB and classified by DNV, feature impressive specifications. Each vessel measures 132 meters in length, with a moulded breadth of 21.8 meters and a depth of 11.4 meters. They are intended to meet Tier III emission requirements and are designed to be methanol-ready, reflecting the company's commitment to sustainability and innovation in maritime technology. Key figures from both organizations attended the signing, including Johan Isaksen and Ricardo Alvarez from Link Marine, alongside Rainbow Group President Martin Wu. The vessels will be constructed in an indoor slipway, which is expected to greatly enhance the precision and quality control of the building process.
