SeaKapital, a leading ship leasing firm based in Hong Kong, has announced a strategic partnership with the Veniamis family’s Golden Union Shipping Co SA to acquire a fleet of LNG bunkering vessels. The joint venture, led by SeaKapital's CEO Kenneth Lam and Chair Sabrina Chao, involves firm orders for two 20,000-cbm vessels from Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding Group . The agreement also includes options for four additional sister ships, with the total potential investment projected to reach US$516 million. These cutting-edge vessels are slated for global deployment, with the first delivery anticipated in late 2026. Kenneth Lam expressed confidence in the venture, highlighting the growing demand for LNG bunkering as a sustainable solution to support the maritime industry’s decarbonization efforts.
