AD Ports Group Plans Expansion in Caspian Sea with New Boxships

Sea, each boasting a capacity exceeding 500 TEUs. These new vessels will improve turnaround times and increase overall capacity with advanced cargo handling systems enhancing scheduling and operational efficiency. Furthermore, the partnership aims to develop a next-generation trans-Caspian intermodal system, boosting trade for Kazakh exporters and other stakeholders by shortening transit times. The expansion includes enhancing the tanker fleet for transporting crude oil, thus supporting Kazakhstan’s energy sector. Captain Ammar Al Shaiba, CEO of the Maritime & Shipping Cluster at AD Ports Group , emphasized the company's commitment to facilitating international trade. He highlighted the strengthened partnership with Kazakhstan, underscoring its success in the Caspian region and the potential for shared growth. Aidar Orzanhov, Director General of KazMorTransFlot, expressed pride in the collaboration. This latest agreement builds on an existing joint venture, Caspian Integrated Maritime Solutions (CIMS), established in 2022.
