Greek Shipyard Partners with MAN for Tug Newbuilding Engines

Dionissis Christodoulopoulos, managing director of **MAN Energy Solutions Greece**, noted that **MAN** has observed Onex's growing capabilities in the shipbuilding sector since 2018. The shipyard is also engaging in a revival of the Greek shipbuilding sector, largely focusing on repair services. **Onex**, along with prominent shipowner George Prokopiou, is spearheading this revival with both the Elefsina and Syros facilities re-entering the market. **Onex** has serviced approximately 125 vessels in 18 months and is targeting newbuild vessels, focusing on tugs, specialised ships, and floating generators for windfarms. Additionally, **Onex** has partnered with Greece’s largest ferry operator, Attica Group, to upgrade its fleet with green technology enhancements.
