NANTONG CIMC SINOPACIFIC OFFSHORE & ENGINEERING CO LTD (commonly known as "CIMC Sinopacific") has announced a significant order for constructing a 20,000-cubic-meter LNG Bunker Vessel. The agreement was successfully signed with Equatorial Marine Fuel Management Services Pte. Ltd. (EMF), highlighting CIMC Sinopacific's leading position and exceptional capabilities in the international small to medium liquefied gas carrier and bunkering vessel market. EMF, headquartered in Singapore, is a prominent supplier of marine fuels and operator of a fleet comprising approximately 30 tankers. The company provides low-carbon and zero-carbon alternative marine fuels such as LNG, methanol, ammonia, and hydrogen. In both 2022 and 2023, EMF was recognized as the largest fuel supplier by volume in Singapore by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). The LNG bunker vessel ordered is designed and built by CIMC Sinopacific, with a length of 160 meters and a width of 25 meters. It is engineered to meet the latest demands of the international shipping market, featuring the newest WINGD dual-fuel main engines and iCER technology. It complies with the IMO Tier III emission standards under both traditional fuel and LNG fuel modes, significantly reducing pollution emissions, methane slip, and greenhouse gas releases, making it an ideal choice for green shipping. In addition, the vessel series boasts an optimized cargo containment system, resulting in a lower boil-off rate compared to other vessels of similar size on the market, thereby reducing operational costs. These characteristics not only enhance the vessel's market competitiveness but also promote the global shipping industry's transition towards low-carbon solutions.
