Fuzhou Wuyang Expands into LNG Bunker Market with New Vessel Orders

Fuzhou Wuyang Refined Oil Trading has initiated its entry into the LNG bunker supply sector by commissioning two LNG bunker vessel newbuilds from Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering (CIMC SOE). The agreement includes a firm order for a 12,000-cubic-meter LNG dual-fuel vessel, scheduled for delivery in 2027, and an option for a second vessel.

The advanced design of the newbuilds incorporates two IMO Type 2G C liquid cargo tanks, each with a capacity of 6,000 cubic meters. This development marks a strategic diversification for Fuzhou Wuyang, which currently operates a fleet of three small tankers.The contract price remains undisclosed, but the move signifies a focused expansion into the LNG bunker supply market, aligning with the growing demand for cleaner marine fuel solutions. This milestone positions the company to tap into the increasing global adoption of LNG as a sustainable alternative in maritime operations.
