Matson, Inc. is a U.S. owned and operated transportation services company headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii. A leader in Pacific shipping since 1882, its subsidiary Matson Navigation Company, Inc. (Matson) provides a vital lifeline to the economies of Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Micronesia, and the South Pacific, and offers premium, expedited service from China to Southern California. The company's fleet includes containerships, combination container, and roll-on/roll-off ships and barges. Matson subsidiary Matson Terminals, Inc. provides container maintenance, stevedoring, and other terminal services supporting Matson's ocean shipping operations in Hawaii and Alaska. Matson also holds a 35 percent ownership in SSA Terminals, LLC, a joint venture that provides terminal and stevedoring services at eight terminal facilities on the U.S. West Coast, including Long Beach, Oakland, and Tacoma. Matson subsidiary Matson Logistics, Inc., established in 1987, extends the company's transportation network throughout North America, offering domestic and international rail intermodal service, long haul and regional highway brokerage, supply chain services, less-than-truck-load (LTL) transportation services, and third-party logistics services such as warehousing, distribution, less-than-container-load (LCL) consolidation, and international freight forwarding. Matson Inc. is listed on the NYSE under the ticker symbol “MATX.”
