Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL)

The Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Line Group (IRISL Group) is a state-owned shipping line based in Iran. Established in 1967 as Arya National Shipping Line and renamed IRISL on January 5, 1979, it operates a fleet of 115 ocean-going vessels with a total capacity of 3.3 million tons deadweight (DWT). The fleet includes 87 vessels owned by IRISL and 28 by subsidiaries like Khazar Shipping, Valfajr, and Iran-India Shipping. With 6,000 personnel, IRISL provides marine transportation services globally, including shipping, carriage of chemicals, container, bulk, and general cargo transportation, port operations, and ship management. Additionally, the company offers welfare, agency, maritime education and training, and maritime insurance services.
