Al-Iraqia Shipping Services & Oil Trading

Al-Iraqia Shipping Services & Oil Trading (AISSOT) was established in 2017 as a joint venture between Iraq's state-owned Iraqi Oil Tankers Company (IOTC) and the Arab Maritime Petroleum Transport Company (AMPTC) to streamline Iraq's oil exports and rebuild its maritime infrastructure. Its operations included trading petroleum products, ship chartering, oil terminals, various marine services, and bunkering at Iraqi ports such as Basra, Khor Al-Zubair, and Umm Qasr. The company was based in Dubai. However, in July 2025, AISSOT, now reportedly known as VS Tankers FZE, was sanctioned by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) for operating in Iran's petroleum sector and for smuggling Iranian oil disguised as Iraqi oil.
